10. Spectacular Bid

Spectacular Bid was a thoroughbred champion racehorse from the United States.  Throughout his racing career of 30 races, Spectacular Bid won 26 from 1978 to 1980. In each of his three racing seasons, he was also awarded the Eclipse Award.

In 1978, Champagne Stakes and the Laurel Futurity were won by Spectacular Bid, to be one of the top American two-year-old. During the third year, he won both the Kentucky Derby and Preakness, his twelfth consecutive win. Bid won the American Champion 2-Year-Old Colt award in 1978 and the American Champion 3-Year-Old Male Horse award in 1979.
